A NEW CHAPTER FOR BOBLES
ABOUT BOBLES
At bObles, we believe that play is every bit as important as food and sleep. That’s why we design play furniture that is both fun and functional – pieces that invite children to rock, roll, balance, jump and laugh. Our tumbling animals are inspired by the simple shapes children instinctively recognise – circles, squares and triangles – and are made from durable EVA foam with a soft surface that lends itself equally well to active play and cosy moments.

THE BEGINNING – JONAS AND THE ELEPHANT
The story of bObles began with architect and new mother, Bolette Blædel. Her son Jonas found comfort in movement, but Bolette was struck by how children’s furniture was so often just scaled-down versions of adult chairs and tables. On their trips to the zoo, Jonas became utterly captivated by the elephants – and it was there the idea for the Elephant, and the very first tumbling animals, was born.

A SISTERLY COLLABORATION
Before long, Bolette was joined by her sister, textile designer Louise Blædel. Together they combined architectural precision with an artistic eye for form and colour – and from this grew an entirely new universe of children’s furniture. Their aim was simple: to create furniture that inspires joy in movement while fitting naturally into the family home.

THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES
From the first sketches to the first jumps and giggles, bObles quickly gathered momentum. Today, the Elephant and many other tumbling animals can be found in homes across the world – furniture that helps strengthen children’s motor skills while sparking imaginative play. We believe in the freedom of play, where children find their own path and parents are invited to join in. bObles is created to give families the space for play, togetherness and childhood memories that last a lifetime.
Today, bObles is part of the Scandinavian Baby Products family. This gives our tumbling animals even greater opportunities to travel the world, spreading the joy of play and movement to children and families everywhere. Together, we will honour the legacy of the Elephant and the many other pieces of tumbling furniture – while continuing to create new adventures to tumble through, laugh at and grow with.
